A 40 year-old Canadian woman allegedly took shoplifting to a bold new level. The woman lined up an interview at an Ontario retail clothing store. Then she went to the store to shoplift for some clothes. Next, she wore the shoplifted clothes to the interview.

Then she went to the store to shoplift for some clothes. Next, she wore the shoplifted clothes to the interview. Finally, she helped herself to a little more shoplifting on the way out of the interview. The manager, who had just finished interviewing the suspect, saw the second of her shoplifts on the security video tape. He wasn’t quick enough to catch her before she left, but her escape would be short-lived. It was an odd career strategy that failed to pay off.
It wasn’t hard for police to track her…

Designed by T.Y Lin International, the bridge will be four lanes wide and is designed to match the style of the dam shadowing it, which holds back artificial Lake Mead.Around 3,000 workers have helped construct the bridge using 2,300 feet long steel cables held aloft by a ‘high line’ crane system.The distinctive arches are made up of 106 concrete and steel arches, each one 24ft-long.The bridge has been named after Mike O’Callaghan, a former Nevada Governor and Pat Tillman, the American Football player who left the NFL and joined the army after the 9/11 attacks.Tillman was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan in 2004.Documenting the last 18 months on camera has been Santa Fe resident Jamey Stillings, 38.Patriotic: The new bridge will provide much needed relief for cars and lorries using U.S. Highway 93. That holiday weekend was pretty fantastic , right? Too bad you’ve got a bunch of leftover beers [Ed. Note: Beer?
…Wait, wait! Don’t throw them out just yet. As Planet Green notes, beer has a wide variety of uses, even if it’s not going to drunken you.
Around the House
They note that the acidity of most beer can make it useful as a cleaning agent in carpets and other fabrics. Like with most cleaners, you should check a spot that won’t show first, and rinse it with a lot of water so your house doesn’t smell for ages.
It can also be used as a polish for gold and wood furniture, and it often can change the tone of wood to make it even richer.
Personal Uses
If it’s stuck in your trunk, keep it there. Beer can ice up if left in a freezer, but the high water content makes it a good emergency fire extinguisher if your car runs into problems.
You can also use it to lighten your hair for the summer. Make it into a rinse, and add some golden touches to your do.
Meals
Last weekend, I ran into a tough cut of meat that I needed to make slightly more palatable. I marinated it with a leftover can, and it really added a rich flavor….

The 2012 Games’ Organizing Committee has said that it looks increasingly unlikely that it will meet its green energy and waste processing targets.
…LONDON, United Kingdom The London Olympics in 2012 are set to fall short of a target to source at least 20 percent of energy from new local renewable schemes.
David Stubbs, head of sustainability at the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), told the London Assembly’s environment committee it is increasingly unlikely the target will be met.
This is partly due to the cancellation of a wind turbine scheme and a lack of other large-scale renewable energy projects in the city.
“London said it would provide the greenest Games ever and although good progress is being made in many areas, it is disappointing that organisers don’t expect to meet their renewable energy target,” said Committee chairman Darren Johnson. “With the event still two years away, I hope the London 2012 team will do everything they can to power the games with as much energy as possible from renewable sources and help London live up to the promises it made.”
Another potential setback for Olympics organizers is lack of progress…
